Books to Help Grow
Growth doesn't start in isolation. When I began to experience an increase in insecurities, it was at the beginning of the school year. I was working as an elementary art teacher. All around me were excellent teachers. I had fallen into a hole of comparison. To improve myself as a teacher and an individual, I decided to read a handful of books. Here is a list of books I've read to help grow:
-Hidden Potential by Adam Grant
-Love Life by Matthew Hussey
-Lioness Arising by Lisa Bevere
-Be Angry, But Don't Blow It by Lisa Bevere
-Girls with Swords by Lisa Bevere
-Depression, Anxiety, and Other Things We Don't Want to Talk About by Ryan Casey Waller
-The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman
-Break the Good Girl Myth by Majo Molfino
-Good Boundaries and Goodbyes by Lysa TerKeurst
-Parenting with Love and Logic by Foster Cline, Jim Fay (I applied Love & Logic to teaching)
-Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki
-Hiding from Love by Dr. John Townsend
-9 Things a Leader Must Do by Henry Cloud
-Coming Home to Me by Cassandra Tsolis
Have you read any of these titles? Are there any books you would recommend?
